WHAT:  Status Fitness Magazine Cover Model Search

WHO:  Females 18 and older

WHEN:  Monthly, beginning at 12pm EST on the first day of each month, January 1, 2010 to Dec 1, 2010 (12 months)

COST: Free

HOW IT WORKS:  Each of the 12 contests (1 every month) will begin at 12pm GMT on the 1st of each month (beginning Jan1) and run through the last day of the month. The contestant with the most votes after the voting period ends will win the monthly contest. Each month ends on the last day of the month at 12am GMT.

DEADLINES: Entries are due one week prior to the  start of a month to qualify for the month’s contest. For example entries submitted by Jan. 24 will be eligible for February's contest. The cut off for January is the 8th at 12PM GMT. See FAQ page for deadlines.

WHAT YOU GET: Monthly winners earn R1500 in supplements and a spot in the finals. The top 4 runners-up also get a birth in the finals.

EDITOR'S CHOICE: Each month, the Editors of Status Fitness Magazine will evaluate every entry for marketability, quality registration form answers, and passion for the industry etc and will select 1-2 additional athletes to move into the finals. To be eligible, athletes must have a minimum of 300 votes which is easily attainable. Select athletes will be eligible for the Status Fitness Status Symbol Model Section - based on quality of images, and a minimum of 500 votes in a one month period.

FINALS: One winner will be chosen from the 12 monthly winners. The finals winner gets the cover of Status Fitness Magazine and R30000  and a years supply of supplements. 2nd winner will get R10000 and 3rd will win R5000 contestants 4-6 will get supplement hampers .

The 11 runners-up will receive features in Status Fitness Magazine.

ENTER: You can enter once per month.

PHOTOGRAPHERS: Photographers get full photo credit  on the site as well as their website link listed. If photos are used in a Status Fitness Magazine Model Feature you will receive R1500.  Photographer of  winning model will  receive first opportunity to shoot the winner for the cover and receive R5000 and R2500 in supplements.

MEN: Due to popular demand, Status Fitness Magazine has decided to bring back the popular men's feature Abs of Steel. Starting February 1, 2010, Status will be running a contest for the guys. The top vote getters will move into the finals and every three months, someone, provided they have "sick abs" will be featured in the Abs of Steel special feature. Please register via the link below. Similar to the ladies contest, the cut off is one week prior to the month of the contest. More details coming shortly.
